New Concussion Guide Now Available

Over the last few months our team has been working on a new booklet to raise the level of awareness and education around concussions.

We created this booklet with the intention to help educate and empower individuals with a concussion and those who love them. We brought together a variety of specialists including neuroscientists, mental health therapists, neuromuscular therapists and more.

This guide takes a new approach to understanding not only the impact of an injury, but also the process for recovery.

concussion-guide-2In this guide, you will find answers to a variety of questions including:

  • What is a concussion?
  • How do I minimize the risk of a concussion?
  • How do I recognize a concussion?
  • What do I do if I have a concussion?
  • How can I help those effected by concussion symptoms?
  • How can a Return to Learn Protocol help me?
  • and More

This booklet covers common symptoms, what to look for both short term and long term. You will also learn the ways we categorize symptoms. We review diagnosis, assessment, treatment, and management for concussion recovery, empowering you to know what to do to receive the best care possible from the medical community.

We know that it is through education that we can raise awareness and bring clear understanding to concussions, which are considered a brain injury.

We encourage you to download this booklet, and to share it with those you care about. Over 3 million people a year sustain a TBI, including concussions. Together, through sharing this information, we will impact and improve medical care, recovery outcomes, and overall quality of life for all who are impacted by concussion symptoms.
